Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials , Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.20%.

The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (BIT: SPMI ), which rose 2.17% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.86 at the close. Meanwhile, Poste Italiane SpA (BIT: PST ) added 1.23% or 0.21 points to end at 16.93 and Enel (BIT: ENEI ) was up 1.08% or 0.08 points to 7.37 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Moncler SpA (BIT: MONC ), which fell 2.51% or 1.38 points to trade at 53.70 at the close. Iveco Group NV (BIT: IVG ) declined 2.00% or 0.28 points to end at 13.46 and Banco Bpm SpA (BIT: BAMI ) was down 1.61% or 0.15 points to 9.28.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 330 to 168 and 44 ended unchanged.

Shares in Poste Italiane SpA (BIT: PST ) rose to all time highs; up 1.23% or 0.21 to 16.93.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 3.19% or 1.99 to $64.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.92% or 1.92 to hit $67.77 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.05% or 35.04 to trade at $3,311.36 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 99.24.
