Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Communication , Banking and Insurance sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 3.93% to hit a new 3-months low.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Melisron (TASE: MLSR ), which fell 0.10% or 30.00 points to trade at 30,280.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE: SPNS ) fell 0.51% or 50.00 points to end at 9,830.00 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE: AZRG ) was down 0.70% or 180.00 points to 25,400.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE: TSEM ), which fell 10.43% or 1,330.00 points to trade at 11,420.00 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE: ICL ) declined 5.60% or 118.00 points to end at 1,989.00 and Nova (TASE: NVMI ) was down 5.50% or 3,630.00 points to 62,320.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 407 to 47 and 84 ended unchanged.

Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE: TSEM ) fell to 52-week lows; falling 10.43% or 1,330.00 to 11,420.00.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 7.41% or 4.96 to $61.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 6.50% or 4.56 to hit $65.58 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 2.76% or 86.30 to trade at $3,035.40 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 1.11% to 3.73, while EUR/ILS rose 0.24% to 4.09.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.95% at 102.77.
