Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Electricity , Wholesale & Retail Trade and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.06%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS: FENER ), which rose 5.98% or 2.86 points to trade at 50.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS: BSOKE ) added 5.22% or 0.67 points to end at 13.50 and LDR Turizm AS (IS: LIDER ) was up 4.17% or 6.10 points to 152.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS: PASEU ), which fell 4.73% or 1.72 points to trade at 34.66 at the close. Enerya Enerji AS (IS: ENERY ) declined 4.16% or 9.70 points to end at 223.20 and Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS: MAVI ) was down 3.97% or 2.90 points to 70.20.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 467 to 110 and 7 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 1.23% or 34.59 to $2,772.01 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.23% or 0.92 to hit $73.74 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.11% or 0.86 to trade at $76.69 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.26% to 35.74, while EUR/TRY rose 0.40% to 37.55.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 107.15.
