Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials , Media and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.66% to hit a new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA: KGH ), which rose 3.37% or 4.15 points to trade at 127.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Asseco Poland SA (WA: ACPP ) added 3.28% or 3.30 points to end at 104.00 and BUDIMEX SA (WA: BDXP ) was up 2.95% or 14.20 points to 496.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were CD PROJEKT SA (WA: CDR ), which fell 2.63% or 5.60 points to trade at 207.10 at the close. CCC SA (WA: CCCP ) declined 0.85% or 1.50 points to end at 176.00 and Dino Polska SA (WA: DNP ) was down 0.67% or 3.00 points to 448.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 268 to 244 and 109 ended unchanged.

Shares in Asseco Poland SA (WA: ACPP ) rose to all time highs; up 3.28% or 3.30 to 104.00.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.19% or 0.14 to $74.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.10% or 0.08 to hit $78.37 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 18.94 to trade at $2,783.94 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.00% to 4.21, while USD/PLN fell 0.93% to 4.01.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.72% at 107.09.
