Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Media , Transport and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.89%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL: GJFG ), which rose 9.00% or 18.80 points to trade at 227.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Storebrand ASA (OL: STB ) added 2.60% or 3.30 points to end at 130.20 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL: TOM ) was up 1.77% or 2.90 points to 166.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Frontline Ltd (OL: FRO ), which fell 5.62% or 10.75 points to trade at 180.70 at the close. Var Energi ASA (OL: VAR ) declined 4.21% or 1.60 points to end at 36.45 and Aker BP ASA (OL: AKRBP ) was down 3.73% or 9.30 points to 240.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 163 to 116 and 27 ended unchanged.

Shares in Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL: GJFG ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.00% or 18.80 to 227.80. Shares in Storebrand ASA (OL: STB ) rose to all time highs; rising 2.60% or 3.30 to 130.20.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.47% or 0.35 to $74.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.37% or 0.29 to hit $78.00 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.61% or 16.89 to trade at $2,781.89 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.17% to 11.75, while USD/NOK fell 0.78% to 11.18.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.71% at 107.10.
