Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate , Financials and Consumption sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Pet Center Comercio e Partcipacoes (BVMF: PETZ3 ), which rose 4.88% or 0.20 points to trade at 4.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Marcopolo SA (BVMF: POMO4 ) added 4.12% or 0.30 points to end at 7.59 and Iguatemi SA Unit (BVMF: IGTI11 ) was up 3.60% or 0.60 points to 17.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eneva SA (BVMF: ENEV3 ), which fell 2.80% or 0.31 points to trade at 10.75 at the close. Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (BVMF: CSNA3 ) declined 2.47% or 0.19 points to end at 7.49 and Marfrig Alimentos SA (BVMF: MRFG3 ) was down 2.31% or 0.39 points to 16.51.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 470 to 459 and 61 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.89% to 28.86 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.49% or 13.05 to $2,691.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.87% or 0.67 to hit $76.63 a barrel, while the March US coffee C contract fell 1.33% or 4.32 to trade at $321.63 .
USD/BRL was down 0.70% to 6.05, while EUR/BRL unchanged 0.02% to 6.25.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.71% at 109.04.
