Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials , Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.30%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Vivendi SA (EPA: VIV ), which rose 2.14% or 0.05 points to trade at 2.53 at the close. Meanwhile, Bouygues SA (EPA: BOUY ) added 1.55% or 0.44 points to end at 28.87 and Carrefour SA (EPA: CARR ) was up 1.31% or 0.18 points to 13.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA: URW ), which fell 3.33% or 2.46 points to trade at 71.32 at the close. STMicroelectronics NV (EPA: STMPA ) declined 2.60% or 0.63 points to end at 23.42 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA: PUBP ) was down 2.05% or 2.06 points to 98.34.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA: ATOS ) which unchanged 10.00% to 0.00, Forvia (EPA: FRVIA ) which was up 3.77% to settle at 8.91 and Eurazeo (EPA: EURA ) which gained 3.73% to close at 75.15.
The worst performers were Worldline SA (EPA: WLN ) which was down 6.90% to 7.28 in late trade, Vusiongroup SA (EPA: VU ) which lost 4.60% to settle at 165.80 and Nexity (EPA: NEXI ) which was down 4.10% to 11.92 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 306 to 194 and 87 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.28% or 34.84 to $2,680.16 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.36% or 1.79 to hit $77.54 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.97% or 1.57 to trade at $81.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.02, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 109.75.
