Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials , Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.03%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.02%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Edenred SA (EPA: EDEN ), which rose 1.54% or 0.47 points to trade at 30.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA: EUFI ) added 1.29% or 0.62 points to end at 48.58 and STMicroelectronics NV (EPA: STMPA ) was up 0.89% or 0.21 points to 23.88 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA: TEPRF ), which fell 2.60% or 2.14 points to trade at 80.30 at the close. Renault SA (EPA: RENA ) declined 1.20% or 0.56 points to end at 46.26 and Air Liquide SA (EPA: AIRP ) was down 0.73% or 1.14 points to 154.24.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA: ATOS ) which unchanged 14.29% to 0.00, Vusiongroup SA (EPA: VU ) which was up 13.62% to settle at 177.70 and Voltalia SA (EPA: VLTSA ) which gained 4.15% to close at 7.02.

The worst performers were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA: ETL ) which was down 7.21% to 2.29 in late trade, Ayvens SA (EPA: AYV ) which lost 2.83% to settle at 6.18 and Teleperformance SE (EPA: TEPRF ) which was down 2.60% to 80.30 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 263 to 246 and 88 ended unchanged.

Shares in Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA: ETL ) fell to all time lows; falling 7.21% or 0.18 to 2.29. Shares in Vusiongroup SA (EPA: VU ) rose to all time highs; rising 13.62% or 21.30 to 177.70.

The CAC 40 VIX , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.49% or 12.99 to $2,632.11 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.09% or 0.76 to hit $68.70 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.07% or 0.78 to trade at $71.78 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 107.81.
