Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services , Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.18%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Qt Group Oyj (HE: QTCOM ), which rose 2.52% or 1.75 points to trade at 71.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE: STERV ) added 2.38% or 0.22 points to end at 9.63 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE: METSB ) was up 2.24% or 0.10 points to 4.39 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE: NESTE ), which fell 2.47% or 0.35 points to trade at 13.64 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE: FORTUM ) declined 1.22% or 0.18 points to end at 14.19 and Nokia Oyj (HE: NOKIA ) was down 0.67% or 0.03 points to 4.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 108 to 63 and 19 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.62% or 0.46 to $73.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.71% or 0.50 to hit $69.44 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 5.24 to trade at $2,673.14 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 106.18.
